Finally a World Class Playground in Rozelle.
Designed by Context design in Sydney.
Open to public now, and I went there on Saturday... Awesome... must have been 100 people there...
Equipment includes:
5m Pentagode rope climbing structure,
20M Cable Ride (there was a line up when my girls and I were there)
2.5m wide Spinning Disc... Awesome fun
Two MASSIVE slides on a 2.8m embankment.. a real hit...
Two sets of swings... with a toddler seat (yay)
A Nest swing.
A spinner
A Double See saw
Water play...
Sand Pit... Yes youngest LOVES sand... (so do I!!! lol )

Oh... and it's on the "Bay Run" so you can wear the kids out and then walk yourself silly...

Fabulous newly built playground with 'constellation' theme, water views, fun equipment for all ages including older kids and even Dad had a go on some of the equipment! Sand play, BBQ, bubblers, picnic tables and seating. Located on the Bay Run. Just half-completed temporary fencing at this stage, unsure if it will be fully fenced. Toilets just a minute's walk from playground. Definitely worth checking out this new playground.

Well very flashy, nice equipment but not safe for running toddlers! The council decided that placing big star shape features on the floor filled with broken glass wouldnt cause an injury? My 3-year-old's right hand had a chunk of skin shaved off him, bleeding etc the only time we went. So wouldn't recommend for young children.

This is a great playground for children of all ages and abilities. Its in a fantastic location and has infomal play features that make it more interesting for the children like coloured mounds star motifs. The stars are made of recycled glass beads and not broken glass! Take your kids there and enjoy a lovely day out!

Get there while you can. It seems that the neighbours want to relocate or move some of it. We should all email the council in support to keep it.

Playground is great - brilliant for a range of age groups. I also heard Leichhardt Council is considering removing the playground and will consider this in two months due to complaints from residents in relation to noise and the popularity of the equipment. The issue went to Council on the 28th June (last night). What can we do to ensure this playground stays? How do we give the children a voice?

My grandchildren, both toddlers, like this playground but I find it unsafe at particular times during the day. The other day a busload of older children arrived and took over a lot of the equipment. It made it hard for the little ones to get a look in.

My boys (11 and 7) had a great time visiting this playground. It seems to have survived the complaints mentioned below with all of the equipment intact. The spinning disk was a particular hit. They also enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. The only disadvantage it that it is rather a hike to the nearest cafe for refreshments.
