Reasonable selection of standard equipment. The big attraction here is that it's opposite the beach, so if the playground doesn't work out you can go to the beach, and vice versa.
This park is extremely popular in summer, with lots of people having picnic teas there after the beach, so it can be crowded until dark. Nice grass for sitting on, and plenty of shady trees.
Plenty of choices for picnic takeaway on Pier St shopping centre.
The playground is at the beach end of the park, and kids that like to run away can slip through the gateway onto The Esplanade, which has only a narrow footpath between the fence and the road.
Warning - even on warm days the sea breeze can be bitterly cold. Always take warm clothing to this park except on still days.
Equipment here no good for toddlers but we have spent many a happy afternoon rolling in the grass and playing with toys or walkers, then heading over to beach to roll in the sand etc! Lovely part of the world.
