**NOTE: This park has been replaced, but we've kept the review and photos of the original for posterity. A new review can be found under "Mont Albert Park".**

This classic playground is coming up for its 25th birthday, and looks every bit of its age. But despite looking a little run down and tired, it has great character.

Constructed mostly from treated pine, there are small steps, ledges and platforms everywhere. If you are a tall adult with big feet you might struggle around here, but don't let your little toddler on the clatter bridge alone - the handrails are too high to be of much use. There is a great cubby house that kids can play in or under, and the oldest see-saw that I've ever seen. A couple of huge tractor tyres make for creative play in them, on them or through them. In fact, there are tyres all through the playground, particularly at the big kids' area, where there are monkey bars, a parallel bar, flying fox and a tyre bridge. The slide has no sides and is pretty steep; good thing they don't make them like this anymore.

A table and chairs are plonked right in the middle of the play area - quite nice for a change, and there are other seats nearby.
