This park has a cubby house for shop play, monkey bars, flying fox, swings and a slide, a fireman's pole and a compact wooden structure for toddlers and older to climb on: plenty to keep kids of pre-school and primary school age occupied.

A painted rosella and koala emphasize the native feel of this playground, which is nestled next to Gardiners Creek and is surrounded by huge gum trees.

This park has been fully-fenced as it is within a leash-free area for dogs, but the gate is not childproof and could easily be opened by toddlers. There are two old, run-down seats outside the fence, although there are a few platforms within the playground that parents could sit on.

Gardiners Creek reserve has many pockets of indiginous natives that are lovingly tended by an enthusiastic group of locals. The path is easily walked or ridden around and may be crossed at Station Street, Burwood Hwy or over a bridge at about the half-way mark. The round walk is roughly three kilometres and is utterly charming. Barbecues can be found on the other side of the creek to the playground, as can tables and chairs.
