Please note that details and rating of this park will change, as it's being refurbished / constructed new by the city council. At the date of our visit (April 2015) the playground equipment was installed and available for use, but the park landscaping was still underway, paths are still being constructed, parking has not been finalised and the reserve is still unnamed. This will change in the next few months.

The playground equipment is best suited for age 1 to 10. It centres around a "crocodile" structure, mostly climbing options, plus there are small-spring-carts and a round group swing. It is set on deep sand with a limestone edge.

This playground in my opinion is suitable for toddlers but not well designed for them. There is plenty a toddler can do, and they can get onto the first fort by way of the swing walkway (perhaps with help), and the slide from the second fort is toddler-sized, however a non-ladder-climber can't get up to the slide themselves and once you're up on the first fort the only way down is the walkway you came up. Older children may also struggle because some key components of the structure are sized for small kids so it may be hard for them to reach the bits best suited to them when the playground is busy. The design however is fun and appealing, and ages 3-7 will have a smile of a time.

This park has benches, a shaded table, a playground. It currently does not have trees, water fountains, rubbish bins, BBQs, toilets or any form of shade over the playground equipment - this may change when the park as a whole is finished. It is well connected to the local bike path network, although the in-park bike paths are still being constructed.
