I was really disappointed by this playground as all it offered was commercial equipment but didn't make any use of its natural setting at all. Being set in the Botanic Gardens was an amazing opportunity to do some nature play.
Facilities are excellent - BBQs, shelter shed, toilets, space to kick a ball or fly kites, on bike path.
400m from car park, so take a pram for the under 3s, the path is no problems for pneumatic tyres and OK for a stroller.

We had a lovely time here. Could do with more seats and shade but an awesome playground in a beautiful setting.

This is a gem of a playground. Situated in the heart of the Cranbourne Royal Botanic Gardens, it is worth the 500m walk to get to. There are paths weaving around the bushland, and this picnic area can be accessed from a couple of different directions.
There are plenty of covered barbecues, nice toilets, a wheelchair-accessible drinking bubbler and the most beautiful outlook onto the bushlands.
The playground itself is set on sand and rubber turf. The sand is that beautiful, white, un-spoiled type of sand - very rare! Also that shows that the playground is relatively new. There are whirlygigs, spring riders, swings, a great unit for toddlers and the grand structure of a double-pyramid rope-climber.
