Great playground, but no shade on actual playground despite description.

Fantastic playground with large hide-and-seek structure that includes large and small forts, sandpits, slides, tunnels, and musical elements with undulating and mixed material surfaces.
Toddlers are catered for at the next door area which includes a slide, cubby, spring see-saw, and lots of opportunity for climbing.
The third playspace contains two double swings and a number of monkey bars and climbing frames.
Definitely include a visit when you're next at the Museum.

Great playground, and love that it's right behind Melbourne Museum and set amongst beautiful trees and lots of green space. Easy to get to as well.

There are 3 play areas at this park as well as a basketball court and plenty of room to move.
While there is some soft-fall on one of these playgrounds the others are covered with bark and some fine gravel in low traffic areas.
From standard swings to slides and cubby-house type areas this park has something for all children.
The three areas could be broken down into toddlers, swings and modern. The modern play area even has some buttons on the floor that when stopmed on ring series of bells. Lovely!
Fencing is fairly non-existent so you'll need to be mindful of where your kids are at all times since Rathdowne St and Nicholson St border this park
