This is a really nice park that we often use as a meeting point because it has generously sized, sheltered picnic tables and it's fenced (no escaping toddlers!)

The equipment has a variety of climbing things, a tube slippery dip and noughts and crosses. There are also a couple of swings. A lot of children can play at once without crowding each other out.

The park is landscaped and partly shaded by gumtrees. There are the picnic seats, seats near the playground and sandstone walls to rest on. There is a small war memorial, a paved area for a bit of bike riding, a bubbler and toilets.

The part is close to lots of shops - the bakery/cafe next door does very nice take-aways.

The back of the park, behind the toilets, isn't fenced. The cement path there leads past tennis courts, to a bike track going beside a creek to Picton Botanic Gardens and another playground. That's about 5 minutes walk. The bike track continues for about 5km.
