Lots of shade, rubbish bin but really lacking unless there are a group of kids to make up games or a really energetic parent/s. This park is really for the toddlers.

Top end of nearby bike path (Brudenell Drive) has Magpies and is often referred to by locals as Magpie Alley. Magpies are aggressive to Bike riders but amusing all the same. If you arrive by car, magpies won't bother you.

Good on street parking, street pretty quiet.

Bike path will take you to the little shops at Jerrabomberra, follow past the Jerrabomberra Primary School down Coachwood Ave and onto bike path past the David Madew Oval, Skate Park Half Pipe and onto Lake Jerrabomberra. Bike ride is all down hill, so be prepared for long uphill ride back to Stockyard Reserve Park.

Across the road from the Brundenell Drive end of Bike Path is a Pond. Good for children to throw stones into water or feed Duck or Water Fowl.
