Leichhardt Park Playground

Great playground for toddlers with easy and challenging options.

There is some shade around but not directly over the equipment areas. There is a lovely shady & quiet 'forest' area among wonderful fig tree root systems. Toddlers can practice balancing walking over them. When we were there a young girl had made an elaborate twig roof for fairies to live.

Although there is one shaded picnic table, the only pitfall to this park is no nearby toilets, so holding a birthday party could be problematic.

Revisited last week and a huge sunshade has been placed up right across the main play area. It is so much better now.

There's a water fountain that dribbles down a smooth concave shape that toddlers love to play in, gentle and safe, great on hot sunny days. It's hidden on the left of the entrance and easy to avoid on cold, overcast days.

Also there's a huge spider swing on a huge frame for the older siblings. They love it as this swing can reach great heights.
