I love this new-look park! The old playground on this spot was very run down, but the new equipment and landscaping makes this one of my new favourites!

There is equipment for all ages, from small slippery dips and climbing frames for toddlers up to a fan-shaped rope climbing frame for school aged kids. There is a rope and timber bridge, a round about, larger slippery dip, springy ride-ons and swings.

If the equipment was not enough, the landscaping adds another dimension to this playground. Although not very large, the space is divided into four distinct areas. Two have sand as soft-fall and two have rubber. There are interesting rough sandstone walls (good for jumping off into the sand), paths and planting which make chasing and hiding adventures even more fun. Our son and his friends played delightedly for over and hour and a half at this playground, a place that previously would have kept them busy for about 10 minutes!

The facilities for adults are good. There are proper seats, plus the previously mentioned stone walls for perching. There are huge sail cloth shades and the playground is fully fenced with child proof gates. This must be the beast-feeding mothers' nirvana.

The surrounding park is huge and grassy, full of established Eucalypts and sun bathers in the summer. While there are no BBQs, it's a great spot for a picnic.

The only thing this playground lacks is a toilet. Kids can pee on a tree (of which there are many) but adults may have to juggle kids into the nearby Courthouse pub if they need to go.
