While the equipment in this park is fairly old, it is sturdy, interesting and there's lots of it. There are swings, slides, good climbing frames and ladders. There is some shade from surrounding trees, particularly in the morning.

The surrounding park is huge, has rolling green lawns and a very extensive duck pond. There are lots of places to kick balls, there are usually Uni students sunning themselves (this park is right alongside the entrance to Sydney Uni) and at certain times of the year all of the surveying students come down to take levels from every possible square inch of open space. There is also an excellent public swimming pool in the centre of the park which has wonderful facilities for toddlers as well as a gym and cafe. You can also buy snacks and coffees from the external kiosk to take to the playground.

Downsides are that the playground is not fenced, there are no seats, toilets or shade and City Road is extremely busy - often with buses and trucks so supervise wayward littlies.

Looks like it has been updated since previous review unless more than one playground in park. Has shaded sitting areas, flying fox, set of swings, large climbing frame and basketball key. Not fenced and no immediate toilet facilities but will keep young and older kids entertained for a while. Also has barbecue and drinking fountain.
