A good local park, with decent coffee a short stroll away. There are a couple of 'cliffs' that the young kids can get to and which are difficult to always protect a young toddler from falling - not that mine have - but we have had a few close calls. Public toilets are just across the road but not very well maintained. On a good note a fence has now been installed to protect kids that like to wander.

A few extra details in addition to the existing review already here.

- Small covered seating area next to playground equipment
- BBQ area nearby (not undercover)
- Drinking water fountain
- Rotunda also nearby if you are having a bigger gathering but only seating
- Baby change table available at the toilets located at the Macleod Community Hall near the playground (next to the Kindergarten).

- Playground located next to Macleod train station so lots of trains for the kids to wave hello to
- Playground equipment includes a train theme piece with a tunnel and windows - positioned on the ground so great for crawlers and toddlers.
- Local book library exchange (look for the little house painted like a rocket) positioned in the playground area offers kids books to read while they are in the park

New cafes have recently opened along the Aberdeen Road shops across the road. Lots of choice for coffee or lunch. All of them child friendly in that they have high chairs.

Small IGA supermarket also across the road if you ever need snacks to go or supplies urgently.

Post office, newsagent, CommBank ATM, chemist, butchers, fruit & veg shop also along Aberdeen Road shops.
