Fairview Park is nestled beside the Yarra River within the large Fairview Park Reserve. It is a delightful park full of large gum trees and rainbow lorikeets. There is a walking track next to the playground that attracts dogs and their owners, particularly at dusk, and while dogs are not allowed to be unleashed within 10 metres of a playground, most are.

The play equipment would suit toddlers and young children and includes a see-saw, swings and two small slides running from a small climbing frame. The playground is lined with woodchips and has rubber turf under the swings. There are many large trees near the playground that give dappled sun shade, but there is no cover for the equipment.

The Tram Museum is located just around the corner (open every 2nd Saturday of the month) and is well worth visiting - follow it up with a BBQ and play at Fairview Park for a lovely afternoon.
