Memorial Park

This new playground is great fun. The play unit has a vaguely boaty feel about it, but when combined with the fake palm trees, crocodiles and whale spring-rider, the effect is one of being in a tropical paradise.

There is a neat little play area for toddlers with an abacus, little doorway and window and noughts and crosses game underneath one of the palm trees. Across the pommel walk there is a 'roof' to climb up to reach the top decking from where you can drive the boat, zoom down the slide or zip down the fireman's pole.

The playground isn't very big, but would be a lovely diversion from a ride along the nearby Bushy Creek Reserve bike path. There is a sweeping hill to run down and plenty of thick, soft grass to fall on.
