Electra Reserve

What a beautiful reserve this is. It's in the style of the old-fashioned "Gentleman's Park". Lovely green lawn with pin oaks, golden elms and a mixture of native trees, but particularly many black wattles. Lots of clumps of indigenous under-plantings complement the trees.

Winding pathways lead to the playground, which is right in the middle of the reserve, so there is quite a walk from any parking. The equipment is old, with much peeling paint and rust, but it still has charm. Kids will enjoy climbing to the summit up a couple of different climbing walls. There are also some curious spinning monkey bar thingies to be mastered.

There is no fencing at all and the ground slopes gently down hill towards the very busy High Street Road, so I wouldn't take any escaping runners here.
