This is probably our favourite park. The old steam train is an interesting feature, and available for older children to climb on top, in and around.
The highlight for us though is the 'castle', a big wooden structure with plenty of climbing, exploring and space for tiggy and creative play. The castle also has ramp access.
There's big sandpits, and various other swings and climbing stuff.
The park is near BBQs and picnic areas, and an oval for more running space or footy. It has toilets, and is fenced on all road sides - open sides lead to the oval.
The train is really fun to play on and I'm eleven by Tomas.
This is a fabulous playground with lots of different activities. For the train enthusiast it's a must! Kids can climb all over the real steam engine and the surrounding 'station' and tracks add to the experience. Plenty of parking, shade and places to explore.
Being right near the train station and seeing trains travel past often also adds to the train themed park. There are plenty of picnic tables and bbqs for picnics.
Worth the drive if you don't live nearby.
Wow Dad a real choo-choo train!
After reading the reviews we decided to take the kids for a drive and visit this park. When we arrived we were very disappointed. Firstly there was allot of broken glass all around the play area especially around the kids train play area. There was rubbish all around the area which wasn't nice for my two year to be touching. Thirdly the park is a hangout for drunks. We arrived at 10:30 and there were three drunks sitting there drinking and yelling at us to keep the kids quiet. Not a nice park.
Worth the drive.
Awesome place, a new fav.
