This is a great park for people who like to spin, says our son. Glen Park playground was only opened this month, and has a great variety of modern equipment, including many different ways to make yourself dizzy!
There's a good range of activities, with a good ropes/obstacle course and climbing web for older kids, and various climbing, hitting, swinging and spinning things for young ones. There's plenty of space so even on a busy day there's room to run and play.
It's next to the footy oval, and also has a tennis court and basketball court, which are fenced but were unlocked when we were there.
It's also in a beautiful open setting, with a good mix of sunlight and shade, with plenty of seated areas spread around and also a covered electric BBQ area.
Certainly agree with earlier comments, and have rated it a 5 as it was one of the first 'newer' playgrounds I'd visited, and I've yet to visit another that filled me with 'playfullness'.
Opened March 2011, childrens books have been left here, usually under the barkchips.
It is also beside the Glen Park Community Centre, and next time I'll check to see if the toilets are open even when the centre is closed.
This is a good park. I'd say this park is probably targeted more to the younger kids. Toddler age and up but the older kids might not be that interested in the equipment. Small slides are great for young toddlers just learning to slide and climb. There is a large rope climbing structure and it's next to an oval and basketball courts - so that's probably better to keep the older kids entertained. Wasn't busy when we were there - Sunday morning.
