Livvi's Place Casey is another 5-star playground from the Touched by Olivia Foundation. This playground is truly awesome and I'm sure the 1000+ people who attended the opening will agree with me.

This beautifully designed playspace includes a super-wide slide that can sit many children across; two nest swings along with regular swings; an accessible carousel; a double flying fox; climbing nets, sandpits and so much more.

Just naming the pieces doesn't to it justice though. The landscape design is clever and elegant. There are busy patches and quiet nooks, there are hills and low-lying areas, there is a dry creek bed that meanders through the space with a water feature that feeds into it. The design complements the existing landscape perfectly. On one side is a river and on the other is a wetland full of happy frogs. The rocky depressions and creek bed in the playground complete the picture.

Huge shade sails cover much of the play equipment, while newly planted trees will provide natural shade in years to come.

I particularly like the pathway that leads to a grassy knoll on which to picnic, daydream, rest or fly kites. You follow this pathway with a sense of expectation and there is just space - it is lovely.

The fencing at the front of the playground is close to the action and encompasses accessible toilets. But behind the playground the fencing is miles away, giving a wonderful sense of space while being within the safety of the fenced area. This is all the more important given the natural wetlands very close by.

There is clearly a real need within this new community for an inclusive playground like this. I see that need as being well and truly filled. I hope to read more reviews from locals who use this playspace over time.

Congratulations and well done to the City of Casey, Touched by Olivia and the local community drivers for having the vision and commitment to create this wonderful space.

This playground is amazing and I thank council for listening and improving the quality of the fully enclosed fence and making it safer for everyone. There are no parks like this in Frankston so we travel here for my kids to play thank you for providing this amazing park .
