Northsiders rejoice - the much loved Decker Park in Brighton has had a facelift. This exciting new extension was a Brisbane City Council initiative to revitalise and diversify a tired section of the much loved park into an all-abilities playground.
Dig-It creates visually inspiring spaces that encourage people to embrace the beauty of the outdoors and this park is no exception. The new section of park wraps beautifully around the existing dolphin statue and features two new sand-forts, cognitive play equipment (which includes everyone’s favourite, tic-tac-toe and connect-four), and slide all under the shade of three massive colourful shade-sails.
There are oodles of soft-fall mounds and waves for the kids to jump and bounce upon, and a custom concrete seating wall for those park weary parents to rest on - this is truly a park for all to enjoy.
Once the landscaping has established, this park is going to make for some great hide-and-seek games
