Pine Rivers Park

Excellent park for all ages. Has great toddler play section as well as well as areas for older children. The huge flying fox, and helicopter style rotating bikes are a big hit. The climbing orb was great and there is a smaller climbing area for the not quite as adventurous. The front of the park has a maze encircled by a two seater bike on a track. We can spend hours here. Well pathed and shady on hot days. Even the toilet block was clean!

Great park for all ages, lots of trees = lots of shade.

The new playground at Pine Rivers (completed 2016) has truly cemented this playspace as one of, if not THE flagship park in this council jurisdiction. It has been designed for truly inclusive use and with surfacing textures providing for children with sensory processing disorders (including autism spectrum) to stay connected with the playspace.

A modern design, this playspace brings a three dimensional element into a continuous play situation. A completely customised solution with an industrial vision as the core experience, the design centres around 2 Geonetrix towers sprouting like skyscrapers from the centre mound. Interfacing with this are a series of hexagonal nets and raised net tunnels providing climbing access and hexagonal concrete blocks set at strategic heights to create a continuous path through the location.

Accompanying these net towers and climbers is the Mega Swing, a beautiful stainless steel basket swing that is both aesthetically appealing and interesting for children of all ages and abilities, providing a real social aspect to the park.

The hexagonal blocks and concrete seating elements were instrumental in providing a more non-descript atmosphere to the unique space and are also designed for proprioceptive sensory benefits,
