This iconic reserve has been a favourite since I was a child.
Lots of green lawn, a creek through the middle (with ducklings in late September - the kids will be delighted at their "white water rafting" antics), plenty of picnic tables plus two sheltered areas (gazebo and peaked verandah).
A favourite for birthday parties and family reunions, there is lots of space for all to enjoy.
The toilets are clean and well kept, there are plenty of bins (recycling included) and a new upgraded carpark with extra spaces.
There is a footbridge over the creek, and a larger historic bridge from the Old Mitcham town centre....kids love running through the tunnel under this one.
The play equipment suits all ages and skill levels, with various equipment scattered through park. Includes a double slide, lots of different climbing pieces, ramp, swings (inc for disabled), rockers and seesaws.
Bring a ball, kite and picnic and you can spend an entire day here easily.....and sometimes a coffee van visits too!.
