Not a bad little park for what it is. There are two swing seats (one for toddlers), a slide (not too high), and a little spinning pole you stand on (a bit rickety). The ground is soft (but dusty/grubby) woodchips around the equipment, and beautiful thick green grass around it. It's a small grassed area but you could play some ball games or have a picnic under the beautiful, big, shady gum trees of which there are several. There are four bench seats, which is generous considering there are only four things for kids to do in the park. If your child is likely to run off then you'll likely feel on-edge here.
This is a playground for toddlers, not much to keep slightly older children occupied for more than a couple of minutes. The gum trees drop branches, a huge one came crashing down once while we were there at a birthday party. Luckily the children were not near the tree at the time.
Recently renovated, Blamey Park is located in the streets of North Ryde. The new equipment includes swings and a climbing structure with a slide, tunnel and spider climbing ropes and a small climbing wall. Three benches around the playground and there are grassy areas too. There is a fence most of the way round but it’s not gated.
