Bristile Park and Adachi Park are right next to each other between the Swan River and the Great Eastern Hwy and are accessed from the same entry drive and parking lot (access is from the highway east-bound).

Bristile Park has the "little house" or "dollhouse", a historic tiny building once used to demonstrate the quality of Bristile brickmaking. There is an Exeloo toilet and a playground for young children near the dollhouse. In the other direction from the parking lot there are many tables and benches, a treed area and adult exercise equipment circuit under the trees. A bike path goes along the Swan River.

Adachi Park is reached by crossing a small bridge just beyond the playground. It is a Japanese-styled native garden with stepping stones and interesting paths to explore, and a tea-house shelter in the middle. Signs explain the sister city relationship between Belmont and Adachi.

The playground is best for ages 0-6. The good-quality equipment is all of small size, easily accessible by small people and their parents. Older children may find they risk less-usual injury attempting to use it in unsuitable, more active ways (I observed this personally with 11- and 13- year-olds).

The playground is not fenced as such but has a low brick wall between it and the river bike path, quite suitable for walking on and for preventing headlong rushes into the path of cyclists. The playground is surfaced with that shredded rubber matting stuff. There was reasonable shade from trees, and there were handy picnic tables and a BBQ close by.
