This park has the Royal seal of approval it seems, as it is a favourite of Princess Mary and her children on visits back to Tassie. Fully fenced, with plenty of room for roaming, this park has something for even the fussiest child...
There is a bike/train track with a bridge for riding around, surrounding a grassy area ideal for picnics, and kicking a ball around. There is an electric BBQ and tables with bench seats, making it an ideal location for a family gathering or birthday party. There is also a bubbler, toilet facilities and plenty of seating. Some trees provide shade.
There is a little train to climb on and crawl through, two swings (one with bucket seat) and a rocker. Then there are two long slides running down a hill with easy to climb stairs to access them. Not to mention the large play station with two smaller slides at one end and a larger covered spiral slide at the other end, with plenty of walkway and climbing equipment between. There are open sides on this equipment though, so the smaller children will require a supervising hand.
There is plenty of additional room to run around, and trees and shrubs for games like hide and seek. There is plenty of timed street parking around, and it's on a regular bus route, making it accessible to everyone.
If I could give half stars, I would make this 4.5 stars, the addition of a good undercover area for shelter would be great as well as less open sides on the play equipment for the safety of toddlers would make it 5* Fantastic park!
