Faulkner Park

Very little space to sit. Very noisy. Play areas very far apart, difficult to keep an eye on smaller kids.

I have a 2 year old. We walked through and thought everything looked great. BBQs were pristine. I did think the two age diference areas were too far apart; it would be difficult if you have kids of different ages to keep an eye on. The toddlers area was good, but I was a little disappointed at some of the equipment in the toddler area, as they had binoculars and megaphones but they were mounted on poles that a toddler had no chance of reaching. Over all thought it was good. Glad to find a shaded play area.

This is only the second playground I've found in Perth that my one-year-old can do stuff in and get on (age-appropriate) things himself. We had a great time. It's a large area, and the volcano makes it harder to keep an eye on the older more independent kids (like my three-year-old), but it is fenced so I didn't find it too hard to supervise both. Kids loved the water feature and mist vents even on this cold rainy day. Lots of picnic tables and barbeques and picnic spaces, in a really lovely garden setting - overall a very pleasant space to hang out in and a great spot for family catchups and group meetings. There is a skate/bike park not too far away but not in sight of this playground, and the pool and cafe are right there too (we came to the playground after our pool session).

It is wonderful playground.
