Probably the best children's park in the Hunter Region. Park comprises extensive playground that children of all ages would enjoy. Council is currently adding attractions (2011).

This is a remarkable playground suiting all ages and abilites. It is fenced, but very large, if you have small children they will need constant following. There is also a waterplay area with alot of water! A change of clothes or swimmers will be nescessary if kids discover this area. The bike area is great. A flying fox,and a very tall climbing stucture and slide will keep older kids (and adults) happy too. This playground gets very busy in the middle of the day. To avoid crowds go before 10am or after 5pm.

I have heard this park is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, and I wouldn't be surprised! It is absolutely fantastic, with something for everyone. The bike track within the park is great for little kids to learn to ride, and learn basic road rules. Also easy access to the bike track around Lake Macquarie. My only negative comment is the amount of vandalism that occurs at the park, which is very disappointing to see. Every time I go there something else seems to be broken (often fence panels around the park) - I wish those people would stop ruining things for everyone else! But saying that, I drive an hour to take my son to this park as we both love it! Very busy on the weekends though - we stick to midweek.

I have a child with a disability. This park is both fun and great for developing the motor skills she requires. What a fabulous environment for exploring, learning to take turns, testing your abilities. Something for the whole family. Why can't more Councils get together and produce such well planned parks. Lake Macquarie have proven it can be done and very successfully. We travel regularly from Sydney to visit family and never miss an opportunity to visit this park.

Great playground for all ages, great tracks for bikes and scooters, fantastic slides, swings, and climbing equipment. Bbq and a cafe.

I cannot imagine a playground with more facilities and more fun, at least not for free anyway! Definitely the best playground between Sydney and Newcastle. Caters for all ages and adults with great BBQ facilities and cafe nearby. Best part is it is all fenced so little ones cannot escape, as all playgrounds should.

Great playground! Very high climbing frame to slide. Flying fox. Great bike/ scooter park. If Sydney had this it would cost.
